Breast Enlargement: Patient Experience

September 1st, 2011

Sunde writes:

I had breast augmentation 2 weeks ago and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the results!! I was a little apprehensive, not about the surgery, but more about what size to go.

I knew the pain ( if there was any) would go away, but the size would stay with me. I decided the morning of surgery and have no regrets!

The recovery was amazing. I was up and around the next day and had absolutely no pain!! It was uncomfortable, but just the tightness in my chest muscles…I still can’t believe it was just two weeks ago!

I want to thank EVERYONE at the clinic and Dr. Bashioum, they were wonderful. They told me exactly what to expect during my recovery and were spot on. My mom came with me the day of surgery and was very impressed with the care I received and the instructions that she was given to help me after my surgery.

I can’t say enough about the ‘family’ at Dr. Bashioum’s clinic. I have been telling all my friends to go there if they have anything about themselves they want to be ‘tweaked.’

Thank you!

Pre-Wedding Facelift

August 17th, 2011

My daughter’s wedding is this November, when should I have a facelift to look my best?

Now!   Modern facelift techniques have a relatively short recovery period, so most patients are out and about in six to seven days after surgery.   However, the initial swelling and healing period following the surgery lasts for about 6 to 8 weeks.     Having the surgery in September, you should look great in time for the wedding in November.

It is important to remember a of couple things.   First of all, as mother of the bride, there is often significant stress involved in helping to plan a family wedding.   Adequate preparation time for surgery and recovery help alleviate any last minute uneasiness.  We have several of my patients writing blog diaries about their own experience having a facelift.  Use our Search Feature at the bottom right side of the page to read them, some include actual surgery footage.

Secondly, it is your responsibility to follow before and after instructions carefully for facelift surgery.   A smooth recovery often rests on patients following doctor’s orders following surgery.   The detailed instructions that I give to my patients are designed to reduce the risks of complications and offer the best insurance for a speedy recovery.   Finally, completing facelift surgery at least 6 to 8 weeks before any big event, such as a wedding, will enable you to look and feel your best.   Allowing plenty of time for recovery assures a natural and rejuvenated look for the wedding.   My guess is that you are going to look great in all the family photographs!
