Social Safari: Donations Offer Hope

This month’s Smile Network Benefit, hosted by the premiere Minneapolis stylist and salon owner, Jason Deavalon, was a huge success. It was my pleasure to take part in raising donations to fund facial reconstruction surgery for needy children through the humanitarian efforts of Smile. During my recent medical mission trip to Lima, Peru, I saw firsthand how the lives of children are transformed through this kind of surgery. A disfigured child is offered new hope and a chance to flourish, where he was once shunned. It is truly a life-changing experience to provide a medical service that is simply out of the reach for many suffering children and their families living in impoverished nations around the world.
A Night to Celebrate
Jason’s Social Safari event raised over $50,000 in contributions from family and friends attending the event.
Models help raise donations
$10,000 was donated by attendees that opted to trade their own smile lines for Nipntuck Botox gift certificates, to help fund the important work of The Smile Network. I offer my sincere thanks to everyone whose generous contributions will be instrumental in improving the quality of life for hundreds of children.

Social Safari- A Good Cause

Thanks to Jason Deavalon, of Deavalon Salon in Minneapolis, for organizing tonight’s Social Safari. This celebration marks Jason’s 20 years of experience as the premier stylist in the Minneapolis/ St Paul area. Congratulations to Jason!
More importantly, Jason has chosen to make this party a benefit for Smile Network International. Started by Kim Valentini, of Minneapolis,the Smile Network International provides free surgical procedures to disadvantaged children all over the world. The fee for each surgical operation is only $500! Fundraisers like tonight’s event is an important resource to provide support for the mission of this international charity. 100% of tonight’s donations will go to fund their efforts.
Jason describes the benefit and festivities as follows. ” Jason Deavalon dares you (attendees) to walk on you wild side. A naughty night out featuring Bubbly, Baubles, Bidding, Botox ®, and Bashioum.” Having participated on a previous medical mission to Lima, Peru, I know firsthand what a significant change that surgery makes and the amazing hope that is offered for scores of children. He has graciously included me in this event and I am honored to participate. My staff (Sandy and Suzzane) and I will be encouraging $500 donations, enough to sponsor one child for surgery and I will be providing a complimentary consultation in my office, including a 20 unit Botox ® injection as an extra incentive.
