Dr. Bashioum’s Friday Photo: Racing at Road America

I really enjoy posting my random Friday Photos! Lindsay and I joined Peter Kitchak (my winery buddy) again at Road America Raceway in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Racing vintage cars is not for the timid. Peter was favored to win the featured race of the weekend and had the fastest lap times going into the finals. Winning wasn’t meant to be this year, but despite a mechanical failure to his Lola T70 and with a substantial lead he came in 3rd. It was great fun to be in the pits with RM Motorsports again.

No shortage of sunny days in my garden this year. Being adjacent to the marsh has really helped during this extended dry spell. There is nothing better than to hand-pick corn and to eat it hot and fresh from the grill! Always one of my favorite Minnesota summer treats.
