Friday Photo: Napa Crush- making wine
October 15th, 2010
The garden is almost done for the season, so we are introducing a new series of photos for posting on Fridays.
Here are my son Josh and daughter Ashely with me in the winery at Kitchak Cellars in Napa.
I help make wine with my good friend Peter Kitchak. We had just finished picking 1 ton of Merlot grapes from vines on the property earlier in the day, but I’m the only one that looks tired!
Inchon Landing Re-creation
September 22nd, 2010
One of the most memorable experiences in South Korea was the joint operation re-enactment of the Inchon landing sixty years ago. General Douglas MacArthur walked ashore as part of this operation. The serviceman playing the General’s role is flanked by others dressed in US soldier period dress. You can make out our film crew in the background. My wife and I were both touched when ROK veterans thanked us for the US involvement in the war. The ceremony was part of the 60th anniversary of the Korean War.
