Open Art Studios: Minneapolis Northrup King Bldg.

Open studio events called “First Thursdays” at the Northrup King Building offers a unique opportunity for the community to have admission to many private artist studios. The Minneapolis Art District event runs from 5-9PM on the first Thursday of the month. Meet some of our areas most talented painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, ceramists, textile artists, jewelers, and browse furniture showrooms. Ice Out Lake Minnetonka

The ice is almost out on Lake Minnetonka. I took this photo while I was standing on the beach at Wayzata Bay across from my office. The mild temps certainly make for a more pleasant run home from work these days. Won’t be long before boats return from their winter storage and the lake returns to busy summer activity.
