My name is Ralph W. Bashioum MD, FACS. I have over 30 years experience as a Minneapolis plastic surgeon, specializing in elective cosmetic surgery. Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, I am a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). I developed my website, nipntuck.com, as a comprehensive resource for information regarding cosmetic surgery.
When I’m not in my office, weather permitting, I’m in my garden. I have an interest in growing unusual fruits and vegetables. Have you ever seen white strawberries? I grow them as ground cover in my small orchard. I have also experimented with Espalier fruit trees. Espalier is the horticultural technique of training trees through pruning and grafting in order to create formal “two-dimensional” or single plane patterns by the branches of the tree. I have served as a board member for the MN Landscape Arboretum and was recently appointed as an honorary trustee.
My family and I are avid travelers. We enjoy the adventure of exploring culture through food and wine. We spent a week together in Tokyo, where we had an unusual Thanksgiving meal of sushi, after a pre-dawn trip to the famed Tsukiji Fish Market. I have included some photos of our travels.
