Dr. Bashioum’s Garden: Radishes
The garden is finally starting to show some signs of life after an especially cold and rainy spring. A small early rhubarb harvest was followed by these French radishes today. It looks like all the plants that I started inside from seeds have finally taken hold in my outside garden beds now. Minnesota gardeners know the mantra, “Hurry up and grow before the frost in a couple of months!” Although the upper Midwest has a short summer, the days are long and we can usually manage to make our efforts worthwhile. I take great pleasure in sharing freshly harvested fruits and vegetables with family and friends.
